OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2011. The respective decision regarding the rise in tariffs for services of Termocom and 9 more regional heat suppliers was approved Wednesday by the National Energy Regulatory Administrative Board.

All suppliers were soliciting for the increase in tariffs due to the growth of tariffs for natural gas and the increase in the networks operation costs. However, having analyzed the calculations presented by the suppliers, the Agency introduced some alterations to the costs asked by them to be included into the tariff.

For example, Termocom asked to raise the tariff for heating for Moldovan capital’s consumers by 13.3% - to 930 leis for a giga-calorie, however, as a result, the tariff was increased by 9.4% (77 leis) – from 821 leis to 898 leis.

The tariff for the centralized heating in Chisinau supplied by Termocom will be the lowest in the country. For instance, the cost of a giga-calorie of heating supplied by Retelele Termicde Calarasi grew 50.8% - to 1505 leis. Retelele Termice Stefan-Voda will be selling heating at 1466 leis for a giga-calorie (+46.6%), Retelele Termice Cimislia – at 1432 leis (+68.1%).
