OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2011. The regional office of the Uzbek-Chinese Trade House opened in the city of Namangan.

As it was noted at the presentation of the office, Namangan region has close ties with business circles of China.

Last year, the regional companies exported USD 1.5 million worth of goods to China. Those included agricultural products, rubber footwear, construction materials and other items.

Imports from China include equipment, machinery and other products.

The majority of the local companies participated in the international trade fairs held in Urumqi and Guangzhou.

At the last year’s Canton Fair, Namangan businessmen signed six contracts and three cooperation agreements.

The opening of the Uzbek-Chinese Trade House in Namangan will help boost bilateral cooperation.
