OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2011. Enterprises subordinate to the Agriculture Ministry of the country increased export of farm products 40.7% on the year in 2010 to USD 2.225 billion, and import reached USD 897.3 million, up 19.6%, an official in the ministry stated.

Foreign trade came to a surplus of USD 1.328 billion.

In value terms, supplies of pork rose 90%, of beef 28.7%, of poultry meat 80%, of dry unskimmed milk 150%, of butter 20.5%, and of dry skimmed milk 60%.

Exports rose 31% in January-November on the year because of the rise in prices and 9% as a result of the increase in supplies in volume.

Exports were to 49 countries of the world in January-November 2010, compared to 63 countries in the same period of 2009.
