OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2011.  Russian Navigation Technologies, one of the leaders of Russian market on transport monitoring and control system, completed supply of equipment and software to implement the project on introduction of GLONASS/GPS transport monitoring and control system AutoTracker at Bukhara Cotton Industry.

Bukhara Cotton Industry is the largest enterprise in the CIS on collecting and processing of cotton. The capacity of the plant is 360,000 tonnes a year. Over 500 vehicles are used for transportation of raw and ready products.

The main aim of corporate transport monitoring system is to decrease idle time of vehicles, saving fuel-lubricant product and fighting violations.

The project on creation of the system has been launched in the end of 2010. The Russian company supplied 175 units of AutoTracker and 135fuel sensors. The company said that it will create dispatcher center and transfer of assembly technology and connecting vehicles to monitoring system.

The Russian company said it will launch pilot zone in February 2011, which will include full-fledged dispatcher center and several vehicles, as well as hold training of employees. All these works will be completed within two days.

The corporate system allows managers of the company to get statistics on conducted trips, volume of shipped cotton, work time, idle time, movement of cargo, etc. The system will also help to plan route, show vehicle location and movement of freight. It will take two months to project implementation and it will help the Uzbek plant to cut transport expenses and objectively evaluate efficiency of vehicles.

The system will have automated cargo weight accounting, which should increase efficiency and accuracy of shipped goods.

Azamat Sultanov, chairperson of Bukhara Cotton Industry, said the transport monitoring system is important project for the enterprise. He said that the company wants to use data, received from the system, to solve wide-range of issues.

Ivan Nechaev, executive director of Russian Navigation Technologies, said that the Uzbek company can manage its vehicles in new level and solve all tasks. He said that this is the first project in the region and is important for the Russian firm.
