OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2011. Russian President Dmitri Medvedev has awarded UTair Deputy General Director and Head of Safety and Quality Control Sergei Voloshin the title of “Honored Pilot of Russian Federation” by the Decree of the President of Russia № 127 of February 2, 2011.

Mr. Voloshin began his career at UTair in 1975 as a helicopter co-pilot and rose to the position of Head of Safety for Russia's largest airline. Mr. Voloshin is a graduate of the Kremenchug Flight College of Civil Aviation in Ukraine.

Sergei Voloshin remains an active flight instructor and operates Mil Mi-8, Mi-171 Mi-26T helicopters and Tu-154 aircraft, has license to operate international flights and has repeatedly led UTair squadrons in different countries. More than 50 crew captains have been trained under his direct supervision.
