OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2011. Lenar Fardeev, the head of the engines design department of the development unit of OJSC KAMAZ, became the winner of the All-Russian competition “Engineer of the Year 2010” in the nomination “Young Engineers’ Art”.

Yesterday, the winners in all nominations divided by industries and spheres of engineering and design activities were awarded in Russia’s Engineering Hall of Fame.

This highly prestigious annual contest is organized by several Russian and international institutions: the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Organizations, the Academy of Engineering Sciences named after A.M. Prokhorov, the Interregional Social Fund for Advancement of Science and Technology, and the Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations. The 2010 competition was held in two rounds. Many regional organizations of Russia’s scientific and technical societies pretended to participate in the competition.

The 28-year-old specialist has been working in KAMAZ’s Research and Development Center since 2005. The managers of the development unit advanced Lenar Fardeev in 2007 when he became the winner of the republican contest for creative ideas.
