OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2011. Rosoboronexport will for the first time use a new format for the presentation of Russian armaments and military equipment. An interactive exhibition complex will make its debut at IDEX 2011 to be held in Abu Dhabi from 20 to 24 February.

At its heart are modern 3D modeling and visualization technologies. During a dynamic and spectacular demonstration of Land Forces’ equipment and weapons, visitors' attention will be drawn to the main export weaponry models.

Among them are T-90S MBT, Msta-S SP howitzer, BMP-3M IFV, BTR-80A APC, TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system, Smerch and Grad multiple rocket launchers, 120mm Vena automated self-propelled artillery system, Nona-SVK self-propelled artillery gun, Khrizantema-S SP anti-tank missile system, as well as the BMPT, a unique tank support combat vehicle. A total of more than 20 weapon systems will be shown in the new format.

Visitors will be able to vividly see the advance, deployment, and attack of combat vehicles, a meeting engagement, forced crossing and taking the objective, defense, deployment of weapon systems at fire positions for firing on targets.

A wide panoramic screen will enable visitors to plunge into a battle "reality" and feel involved in what’s happening. The screening will be accompanied by brief specifications of equipment and interactive demonstration of 3D models. Five to six screenings are planned to be held at IDEX 2011 daily.

An all-new stand configuration and a lot of equipment are used to install the exhibition complex.

Such a format is one of the first steps to transition to a new concept in work at exhibitions. This will make it possible to more spectacularly, informatively and efficiently present Russian defense products at international shows. It is planned to further improve the interactive complex by expanding its capabilities.
