OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2011. Eurasian Development Bank provided the first tranche to Eco-Pur Company (Armenia) for the import to Armenia of 25 thousand tons of wheat under the credit line agreement to fund wheat procurement and transportation to Armenia, reported the press-centre of KASE.

This agreement to fund wheat procurement and transportation to Armenia has been signed in December 2010 in Moscow. The document signed by EDB Management Board Deputy Chairman Gennadiy Zhuzhlev and Director of Eco-Pur Company Edgar Kazaryan. Also, Eco-Pur Company signed an agreement on wheat delivery with the Russian government company - Joint Grain Company that shall be funded through EDB loans.

This year CIS countries markets are experiencing a difficult situation related to wheat provision and this project implementation shall allow keeping in Armenia prices for bread and flour at the acceptable level.

In addition, the project implementation shall facilitate development of integration relations between Russia and Armenia at the expense of the mutual goods turnover increase between two countries.
