Companies subordinate to Bellesbumprom concern in 2010 increased exports 28.3% on the year to USD 414.8 million, which is almost the annual target for growth, set at 29%, the chairman of the concern, Vladimir Shulga, said a session of the council of he concern, the Belarusian government said in a statement.

The concern has not reached the pre-crisis export level, though, Shulga said, adding that in 2010 exports fell 17% on the 2008 level. Imports amounted to USD 273 million, including USD 118.2 million worth of investment products. “The trade surplus expanded 46% on the year in 2010, however, it has failed to reach the target,” Shulga said.

This year, Bellesbumprom is projected to increase exports 17% on 2010.
