OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2011. Specialists of TATNEFT have become winners of the XI-th All-Russia Contest "Engineer of the Year 2010", conducted annually by Russian and International unions of scientific and engineering public organizations with participation of the Academy of Engineering Sciences, named after A.M. Prokhorov and Interregional Public Foundation for promotion of scientific and technological progress, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The decision of the Contest Jury has been to award the title of the Laureate in the nomination "Professional Engineers" by the results of Round II with granting of diplomas, badges and commemorative medals to Ilya Galimov, Chief Geologist of NGDU Leninogorskneft; Yuri Sterlyadev, First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Tatneft-RemServis Management Company; Marat Amerhanov, Head of enhanced oil recovery and water flooding laboratory of TatNIPIneft; Alexander Voronin, Manager of formation pressure maintenance department of NGDU Yamashneft; Vladimir Isakov, Deputy Head on organization of well repair, well drilling and enhanced oil recovery of NGDU Yelkhovneft; Pavel Sokolov, Manager of the well remedial servicing shop of NGDU Aznakaevskneft and Nigmatyan Hamityanov, Head of laboratory for equipment and technology of expandable pipes, TatNIPIneft.

In the category "Engineering art of the young" the title of the Laureate has been granted to Rinat Shaidullin, Deputy Manager on geology of the oil and gas production shop 4 of NGDU Leninogorskneft and to Vitaly Pronin, drilling department engineer of TatNIPIneft.

In 2010, there are 191 specialists and production, professional education and science organizers and 112 young professionals among the winners in the "Professional Engineers" category.

The Company's specialists were conferred the title "Professional Engineer" with awarding a notable badge and a certificate by the results of the I-st round of the contest. Among them there are Rinat Shafigullin, Head of NGDU Yelkhovneft; Ildar Farrakhov, Chief Engineer of the Engineering Center; Rinat Rafikov, Manager of technological department for development of oil and gas fields of NGDU Jalilneft; Igor Babichev, Deputy Head for workover and construction of wells of NGDU Jalilneft; Vladlen Podavalov, Deputy Manager of fields development department of NGDU Bavlyneft and Rustam Gilfanov, senior engineer of logistics department of NGDU Bavlyneft.

The aim pursued by the All-Russian contest of engineers is drawing attention to the problems of engineering personnel quality in Russia, increasing the attractiveness of work and professionalism of engineers, identifying the elite of the Russian corps of engineers, formation of interest to engineering work among young people, promotion of the achievements and experience of the best engineers in Russia and formation of the register (data base) of the best engineers of the country. The names of the winners in both categories are entered into the Register of Professional Engineers of Russia.

Vladimir Sitzev, President of the Interregional Public Foundation for promotion of scientific and technological progress, thanked the attending laureates for the fruitful work. He noted that these contests evidenced how rich Russia was with talented and creative specialists and overcoming the economic difficulties and putting the country on the path of innovative development in the XXI century would to a great extent depend on the growth of their professionalism, competence and further development of engineering.
