OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2011. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers rose 80% on the year in January-December 2010 to 6.175 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told.

The output of potash fertilizers increased 110% on the year to 5.223 million tonnes, of phosphate fertilizers went up 8.6% to 192,400 tonnes, and the production of nitrogen fertilizers went up 4.5% to 760,100 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production rose 16.3% to 233,100 tonnes.

Varnish and paint output fell 3.5 times to 360,900 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 13.5% on the year in January-December to 16.073 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms.

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 31.5% of the average monthly output, or 418.5 billion rubles.
