OREANDA-NEWS. February 28, 2011. EBRD supports the reforms that are held in Ukraine, First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andriy Kluyev said at the meeting with the EBRD Vice President Jan Fischer.

"We appreciate your desire to bring Ukraine closer to European standards. I want to express my firm conviction that all these reforms, all these efforts to meet European standards will increase the attractiveness of Ukraine, its potential, improve its business climate, which will undoubtedly attract investors to your country"- the EBRD Vice President said.

Jan Fischer said that Bank for Reconstruction and Development would support Ukraine in this regard.

The reforms that the President of Ukraine has declared and the Government has embarked are fairly complicated process, Andriy Klyuyev said. He said that only in the 1st half of the year the Ukrainian parliament proposed to take 117 bills aimed at reforms implementing. "And in the second half of this year we must implement these laws in life", - the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

According to him, the President of Ukraine and his team are set firmly on the reforms. He expressed confidence that they would be implemented. We understand that we have no other way as to actively develop the economy, create favourable conditions for business, Andriy Klyuyev said.
