OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2011. Consumer prices increased 2.3% in the first two weeks of February, after a 1.4% increase in January, the National Statistical Committee told.

In the second week of February, prices rose 1.7%.

Sugar prices increased 9.9%, potato prices 5.6%, cereal prices 4.8%, vegetable prices 3.2%, beef and curd cheese prices 3%, and utility fees rose 18.2%.

Since the start of the year, consumer prices have risen 3.7%.

In 2011, the government plans to keep the growth in consumer prices within 7.5%-8.5%.
