OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2011. Over the reporting period the Baltic Stock Exchange Indices demonstrated mixed results. Positive changes saw the index of the Riga Stock Exchange (+ 0.46 %), but Vilnius and Tallinn Stock Exchange Indices went down by 1.98 % and 2.80 % accordingly.

The volume of trading on the Riga Stock Exchange was well above the average and amounted 1 223 million lats. The bulk of all deals were made with the stocks of Grindeks – 998,000 lats.

During the reporting week in positive territory were traded the following Riga Stock Exchange shares: Kurzemes CMAS (+10.48%), Latvijas Gaze (+9.82%), Olainfarm (+5.91%), Rigas Kugu bvetava (+4.24%), Liepajas Metalurgs (+3.17%), Grindeks (+0.86%).

In negative territory were traded the shares of Valmieras stikla shkiedra (-9.96%), Latvijas Krajbanka (-9.92%), Ditton pievadkezhu rupnica (-5.28%), SAF Tehnika (-4.65%), Latvijas Kugnieciba (-4.60%), Latvijas Balzвms (-3.94%), Latvijas Tilti (-3.81%), Ventspils Nafta (-1.85%).

A significant number of companies which are quoted on the Baltic Stock Exchanges published their financial data for Quarter 4 of 2010. Among them the data of such companies should be mentioned: Latvijas Gaze, Grindeks and Merko Ehitus.
