OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2011. Ukio bankas Group incurred a net unaudited loss of LTL 33.5 million in 2010 – i.e. 2.1 times less than in 2009 (LTL 70.5 million). In 2010, the assets of the Group increased by LTL 714 million (17%) and amounted to LTL 5.0 billion at 31 December 2010, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.

“2010 was a year of the turning point and it was more favorable than the previous one for the performance of the Bank allowing to significantly reduce its operating loss. During 2010, Bank’s and Group’s assets as well as deposits from customers increased. We assess the worst time to be in the past, thus we expect the growth of the Bank this year”, – Gintaras Ugianskis, Chairman of the Board of Ukio bankas said.

In 2010, customer deposits of Ukio bankas Group increased by 18 percent, from LTL 3.4 to LTL 4.0 billion, the net value of loans and finance lease portfolio increased by 8 percent and amounted to LTL 2.6 billion in 2010.

According to the Chairman of the Board of Ukio bankas, the Bank expects further moderate growth of the assets, and plans to strengthen its capital base in 2011. By exclusive attention to assuring asset quality and improvement of operating efficiency, Ukio bankas will seek to further strengthen its positions in Lithuanian commercial banking market.

Ukio bankas Group consists of Ukio bankas and its subsidiaries UAB Ukio banko lizingas, UAB Ukio banko investiciju valdymas, GD UAB Bonum publicum, UAB Ukio banko rizikos kapitalo valdymas, UAB Turto valdymo paslaugos, UAB Trade Project, UAB Eastern Europe Development Fund and UAB Investicinio turto valdymas. UAB Ukio banko rizikos kapitalo valdymas owns RAB “Ukio bank lizing” (Ukraine).

At 31 December 2010, Ukio bankas client service network consisted of 59 outlets – 12 branches and 47 client service units. The bank had 2 representative offices – Kiev (Ukraine) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). At 31 December 2010, the Group and the bank employed 825 and 725 employees, respectively.
