OREANDA-NEWS. March 4, 2011. Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Neft, and Dmitri Kobylkin the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, today in Noyabrsk signed a three-year agreement on social and economic co-operation between Gazprom Neft and the Administration. The official signing ceremony was also attended by Alexei Miller, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Neft and Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee.

The main focus of co-operation between the Autonomous Area's administration and Gazprom Neft is further support for socio-economic projects in the region. The parties plan to develop the scientific, technical and investment potential of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, to implement cultural projects and create social infrastructure, as well as supporting popular and youth sport organisations.

Within the framework of the agreement, Gazprom Neft will continue to build sports and fitness complexes in the cities of Noyabrsk and Tarko-Sale. A 120-apartment five-storey housing block will be built in the city of Muravlenko.

Gazprom Neft and the Autonomous Area Administration will focus their efforts on the creation of favourable conditions for the geological study and development of the region's subsoil. Gazprom Neft will ensure that the development will comply with all environmental conservation legislative requirements and will be aligned with the interests of the small indigenous population in the North of the region. The parties also declared their interest in developing the most up-to-date and innovative technologies, which will stimulate investment activity and increase hydrocarbon production in the region.
