OREANDA-NEWS. March 05, 2011. Over 31.6 mln. Rubles were transferred for the implementation of the measures related to the protection of the water resources at the territory of the Container terminal of the Fourth Stevedoring Company. In particular, design works and construction of water treatment facilities were completed, outside network of storm sewage system and storm water pump stations were created.
 
Over 4.9 mln. Rubles were transferred for construction of storm sewerage system and water treatment facilities at the territory of the Second Stevedoring Company at the area, where modernization of the open storage grounds for general cargoes was performed (storage grounds were created instead of old-dated warehouses Nr. 9 and 10).

About 2.1 mln. Rubles in 2010 were transferred for repairs and maintenance of the storm water sewerage systems at the territory of the First, Second and Fourth Stevedoring companies of the group.

Over 3.6 mln. Rubles were transferred for the implementation of the project on demolition of 2 compressor sections (using ammonia coolant) at the territory of the second cargo area of the port. The project received positive expert conclusion with regard to industrial safety according to the law of RF and was approved by Rostekhnadzor.

Expenses for the implementation of the measures related to the protection of air, land and water resources in 2010 amounted to over 14.9 mln. rubles. Traditionally annually the quality of discharged water and air is monitored, the volumes of wastes and frequency of their removal as well as the observance of the norms and requirements of the environmental and sanitary legislation are controlled.
