OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2011. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers rose 9.8% on the year in January 2011 to 539,300 tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee stated on Tuesday.

The output of potash fertilizers increased 11.6% on the year to 451,500 tonnes, of phosphate fertilizers went up 8.3% to 16,900 tonnes, and the production of nitrogen fertilizers went down 0.2% to 70,900 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production rose 11% to 20,900 tonnes.

Varnish and paint output fell 6.9 times to 7,500 tonnes. Motorcar tire output increased 0.7% to 260,700 units.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 5.1% on the year in January 2011 to 986.3 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms.

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 16.2% of the average monthly output, or 146.4 billion rubles.
