OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2011. ANA Group offers its deepest condolences to all those affected by the earthquake which occurred on 11 March, especially those who have lost loved ones, and announces a series of initiatives to help with rescue and recovery efforts.

Given the widespread damage resulting from the earthquake and subsequent tsunami, ANA Group is implementing the following logistical support:


Assistance with Transport of Relief Supplies
ANA Group will provide transport of relief supplies, at no charge, as required by the Japanese government and/or local authorities. This support will be made available (*1), across all domestic and international routes operated by the ANA Group, between March 14, 2011 (Monday) and April 15, 2011 (Friday) (*2).


Assistance with Transport of Relief Workers/Medical Support Personnel
ANA Group will provide seats on its flights for relief workers, as required by the Japanese government and/or local authorities. This free transport will be made available (*3), across all domestic and international routes operated by the ANA Group, between March 14, 2011 (Monday) and April 15, 2011 (Friday) (*2).


Charity Mileage Program
ANA Group will introduce a "Charity Mileage" program for all ANA Mileage Club members effective from Thursday 17 March to Friday15 April. Members can donate miles, in 10,000 mile increments, as relief funds for the victims of the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake, by filling in the application available at the ANA SKY WEB site (www.ana.co.jp).
ANA Group will donate one yen for every mile donated by its Mileage Club members.
ANA Group has also begun asking for charity contributions from its employees.

- Client (shipper) and recipient are representatives of the Japanese government and/or local authorities.
- Definitive contact information is provided for both client (shipper) and recipient.
- Both departure and destination points are airports at which ANA Group operates (ANA Group-operated flights).
- Customs clearance and ground shipping arrangements have been made by the shipper at both departure and destination points.
- Transport is acceptable on a standby basis. (Flights cannot be determined in advance, including for installment shipments. Because transport will be provided on a space-available basis, and dependent on the handling capacity of the destination airport, not all requests can be accommodated.)

(*2) A separate announcement will be made in the event the free transport assistance period is to be extended.

(*3) Conditions of Support
- Request is made by a representative of the Japanese government and/or local authorities.
- Both departure and destination points are airports at which ANA Group operates (ANA Group-operated flights).
- Arrangements for immigration procedures have been made at both departure and destination points. - Seats may not be available on sold-out flights.
