OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2011. The branch of Ingostrakh OJSIC in Yekaterinburg continues to cooperate with the museums of the city, having insured several large exhibitions for the total insurance sum of 1.2 mln. dollars.

Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts became the insured of 77 exhibits within the framework of projects “Masterpieces of French graphics of XVII-XIX centuries” and “Views of Italy and France in Western European and Russian graphics of XVII-XIX centuries”, which will be presented in the town of Surgut, Tyumen region.

The Museum of Yekaterinburg History is preparing an exhibition “Gagarin’s Era” in honor of the Cosmonautics Year in Russia. The exhibition will mainly include models of spaceships, clothes of cosmonauts, and samples of orbital menu brought by State management company of the city of Moscow “Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics”.

Sverdlovsk Regional Natural History Museum presents an exhibition “Urals and the Space” within the framework of festivities devoted to 50-year anniversary of the man’s first flight to space. Besides objects from personal funds of the museum, exhibits from Federal state management company “Polytechnical Museum” of Moscow will also be presented at the exhibition.

The said exhibitions were insured on the conditions “with liability for all risks” under the insurance formula “from nail to nail”. The period of insurance starts from the moment of removal of the objects from the place of their permanent storage and finishes when the work of art returns to its place. Thus it remains insured even while it is being packed, carried from the museum to the truck and installed at the exhibition. The insurance coverage protects absolutely all movements of exhibits, preliminary and transitional storage and storage at the end of the exhibition.

This is the first experience of cooperating with Ingosstrakh OJSIC for Sverdlovsk Regional Natural History Museum, and Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine arts and Museum of Yekaterinburg History are the insurer’s long-standing partners.
