NEC Corporation is devoting its full attention to assisting the recovery efforts of government offices, telecommunications carriers, hospitals and businesses impacted by the devastating earthquake of March 11 with the following services.

1) Earthquake recovery support desk established

In addition to NEC's existing support window, a specialized disaster area support window has been established in order to assist with the use and maintenance of IT equipment that includes servers for businesses, government offices and organizations.
2) Free offering of BIGLOBE's cloud hosting services (*1) for organizations seeking to

(*1) BIGLOBE cloud hosting is a cloud service that provides infrastructure for rapidly providing vital information on safety matters, traffic information, train services and more.

In addition to the services for organizations, NEC also implemented special services for consumer products, including special repair and maintenance prices for consumer products (personal computers, printers / peripheral devices, fax machines, broadband rooters, etc.) regardless of the warrantee period. Furthermore, a reduced ISP price has been implemented for individual BIGLOBE customers.
