OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2011. KITF 2011, the 11th Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair, will take place in two pavilions at the Atakent Exhibition Centre on 20-22 April.

KITF is Central Asia’s main professional tourism event. The show is organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan and Almaty City Administration, together with Iteca (Kazakhstan), part of ITE Group Plc (UK).

This year, about 500 companies from 36 countries will exhibit at KITF. The Croatian Ministry of Tourism will participate with a national stand for the first time. Chile, USA and Japan will be among the new destinations presented at the exhibition.

The following countries will participate with national stands: Greece, Georgia, India, Spain, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, UAE, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey, Croatia, Czech Republic, South Africa, and South Korea.

As in previous years, there will be a separate pavilion solely for national tourism organisations, where a central place will be occupied by the stand of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan and regional tourism offices. Sixteen countries will participate with national stands: Greece, Georgia, India, Spain, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey, Croatia, Czech Republic, South Africa, and South Korea.

The major tour operators Gulnar Tour, TEZ Tour, Consul Travel, Sayat, KazTur, On Travel, Travel System, and Kompas booked their space at KITF early. For them, the event is an essential component in the successful development of their business. Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is the official carrier of KITF 2011.

Over the three days, KITF will present: great international resorts, luxury hotels, comfortable flights, informative seminars, special holiday offers, new tourism industry products, and much more.

The exhibition’s target audience is travel agencies. At the event, there will be a series of seminars and consultations specifically for them. KITF’s business programme includes seminars and presentations, such as: “Online hotel booking” by Hoteldiscount (Russia); “Tours to Austria, Italy, France and the Czech Republic” by Travel System (Kazakhstan); “New forms of tourism business development in Spain” by SOL-V.I.P Travel (Spain); and “The best holiday in Thailand” by SAYAMA Travel (Thailand).
