OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2011. NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary NTT Communications (Thailand) Co., Ltd., following acquisition of a communication license in Cambodia in January, has become the first Japanese carrier to provide reliable, high-quality Internet access to business customers in Phnom Penh and the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone. The service is provided through the NTT Communications Phnom Penh Office.

The Digi-Path Premier access service, delivered via leased lines rather than less-secure shared ADSL, connects directly to NTT Com’s Tier-1 global backbone, a large-bandwidth, high-speed network that itself connects with other networks on the Internet. Its robust, completely redundant architecture offers a highly reliable communication environment. Round-the-clock network monitoring helps to minimize impact if a communication failure were ever to occur. Multilingual support is provided in Cambodian (Khmer), English and Japanese.

Access is available in speeds of 512 Kbps, 1, 2 or 4 Mbps. Costs start at 150 USD for initial setup and 340 USD monthly for the 512 Kbps service. Optional mail hosting comes with features including antivirus, spam filtering, webmail, automatic reply and create mailing lists. Mailbox capacity is available in 1, 3 or 5 GB per account, starting at 50 USD per month for 1 GB.

NTT Communications (Thailand) also provides multinational companies in Cambodia with ICT solutions for network integration, system integration and managed security.

In addition to Cambodia, NTT Com access services in ex-Japan Asia are available in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
