OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. The Russian Bank for Development jointly with People’s Initiative Foundation and Russia Public Opinion Research Center (RPORC) is continuing social research of small business in the regions of the Russian Federation. 75 SMEs were interviewed in Chita (the Baikal Kray), reported the press-centre of RBD.

According to the survey 65% of enterprises in Chita consider the interest rate as the key factor when selecting a loan. The respondents (64 %) agreed that the lending terms had changed and became more favorable. In 2010 52 % of the entrepreneurs obtained loans thus evidencing the demand for such services.

“RPORC has conducted the survey in Chita with the view to detect the level of awareness of SMEs of variety of financial support. It turned out that only 12 % of the respondents are aware of such forms of support as leasing, factoring and micro-financing. Moreover according to the survey quite a few respondents consider necessary to improve their education. Over 80 % of entrepreneurs would like to get additional training to expand their business”, pointed out Member of the Board – Deputy Chairman of the Board Olesia Teploukhova.
