OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. Fortune (Chinese) published first "Top 100 Chinese Enterprises of Social Responsibility", including top 50 native and 50 foreign investment corporations. Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. ranked fifth among native top 50, and No. 1 among twelve listed native corporations in raw material industry, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

The ranking is accomplished in joint efforts by Fortune (Chinese) and InnoCSR based on appraisal framework of twelve standards of environment management, pollution prevention, resource utilization, climate change and biodiversity, labor relation, etc., which are further divided into 45 sub-standards and 180 parameters.
 
With three branches of metallurgy, mining and chemical industry, twelve native and four foreign investment corporations, raw material industry takes up the biggest percentage in the list. Listed native enterprises also include Minmetals Development, China Shenhua, China Coal, China Metallurgical Group Corporation, Taiyuan Steel, Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, An Steel, Wisco, Hunan Valin Pipelines, Jiangxi Copper, Ma Steel.
