OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. Code-share agreement between AeroSvit and Aeroflot regarding joint operation on Kiev-Moscow route came into effect. In cooperation, the carriers will provide up to 7 daily flights between the capitals of Ukraine and Russia.

AeroSvit and Aeroflot also significantly extended the format of the existing agreement on the application of special fares - Special prorate agreement.

A convenient schedule and a high frequency of jointly operated flights will give the two companies more possibilities to provide carriages not only for point-to-point, but for transit passengers as well taking into account flight connections via base airports - Borispol (Kiev) and Sheremetyevo (Moscow).

In particular, the signed documents will enable AeroSvit to organize passenger carriages via Kiev and Moscow from Ukraine’s largest administrative centers and from the majority of its international destinations to 20 cities of Russia, including Vladivostok, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk, Samara, Omsk, Astrakhan, Irkutsk and Perm.

AeroSvit - Ukrainian Airlines, established in 1994, at present is the largest Ukrainian network carrier. It is based at Borispol Airport (Kiev). AeroSvit is operating over 70 scheduled international routes including 5 transcontinental flights to New York, Toronto, Beijing, Delhi and Bangkok.

AeroSvit also provides carriages to ’s largest regional administrative centers, including Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lugansk, Lvov, Odessa, Sevastopol, Simferopol and Kharkov jointly with its partners.

AeroSvit operates long-haul Boeing 767 aircraft, middle-haul Boeing 737, Airbus 321, Airbus 320 and Embraer 195, regional Embraer 145 and Antonov 148 aircraft on its flights.

Aeroflot – the largest air carrier of Russia is a member of SkyTeam aviation alliance. Based at Sheremetyevo Airport, where Aeroflot has its own modern terminal (D). In winter season 2010-2011 Aeroflot is operating its own scheduled flights to more than 100 destinations in 48 countries (27 destinations - in ).

Aeroflot operates one of the youngest aircraft fleets in Europe. The fleet of the carrier has more than 100 aircraft, mainly constituted from A320, A330 and B767 aircraft.
