OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines additionally received two long-haul Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on operational lease basis. The latest aircraft arrived at Borispol Airport (AeroSvit’s base airport) on Saturday, March 12th. The previous Boeing 767-300ER was delivered to the carrier a month earlier, in mid-February, 2011. Both aircrafts’ passenger cabins are made in two-class lay-out.

With new aircraft deliveries AeroSvit’s long-haul fleet has increased to 6 Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. This will enable the Ukrainian Airlines to expand carrying capacities on all existing long-haul routes in summer period, 2011. AeroSvit also plans to launch new non-stop transcontinental flights from Kiev to Southeast Asia’s destinations – Colombo, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City.

AeroSvit - Ukrainian Airlines, established in 1994, at present is the largest Ukrainian air carrier. In summer period 2011 AeroSvit will be operating about 80 international routes in 33 countries, including 5 transcontinental flights to New York, Toronto, Beijing, Delhi and Bangkok.

AeroSvit also provides carriages (jointly with its partners) to ’s largest regional administrative centers, including Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lugansk, Lvov, Odessa, Sevastopol, Simferopol and Kharkov.

As of today AeroSvit operates long-haul Boeing 767 aircraft, middle-haul Boeing 737, Airbus 321, Airbus 320 and Embraer 195, regional Embraer 145 and Antonov 148 aircraft on its flights.

AeroSvit will also update and extend its middle-haul fleet in the framework of delivery contracts (on operational lease basis) of 11 Boeing-737 of the new generation. In particular, the first two B737-800 Next-Generation aircraft will be delivered to AeroSvit in March-April 2012. They will become a timely contribution to AeroSvit’s carriages arrangements during the European Football  Championship, which will be hosted by and in summer 2012.

In 2013-2014 AeroSvit will also receive 4 Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER’s. The Ukrainian carrier will become the first East-European operator this type aircraft, which feature higher fuel efficiency, longer flight range and new improved cabin interior.
