Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (“MTS” or “the Company”: – NYSE: MBT), the leading telecommunications provider in Russia and the CIS, announces that the Company signed agreements with the major film studios – Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment – on the digital distribution of their films through its proprietary content portal Omlet.ru.

Following the signing, Omlet.ru’s film catalogue will expand to include several hundred new popular titles. Some of the films will be available exclusively on Omlet.ru. The agreement with Universal Pictures was signed for one year and for two years with Warner Bros. Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Earlier, the Company entered into a two-year agreement with Central Partnership, the leading film distributor in Russia, which provided Omlet.ru with access to more than 700 film titles. Content from The Walt Disney Company and Paramount Pictures is also available on Omlet.ru.

Omlet.ru catalogue now contains more than half of the box office hits released in Russia, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Spider-Man and The Fast and the Furious,” commented Ms. Inna Shalyto, Director for Innovative Media Products Development at MTS.

The cost to watch a film online on Omlet.ru ranges from 35 to 100 rubles with a number of titles available free of charge. The cost to download is anywhere from 75 to 240 rubles. Other box office hits that consumers will see in the expanded library include Inglourious Basterds, Batman and Sex and the City.
