OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies – Heineken Breweries, in the Mogilev Region, and Rechitsapivo, in the Gomel Region – registered a 32.5% increase in output in January-February 2011 from previous January-February to 1.346 million decaliters, Belarus’ food concern Belgospischeprom said in a statement.

In February, beer production reached 661,300 decaliters, up 23.4%.

Heineken Breweries’ output rose 45.1% on the year to 1.312 million decaliters, while Rechitsapivo’s output decreased 69.3% to 34,400 decaliters.

Heineken-controlled companies made 1.07 million decaliters of beer in plastic bottles in January-February, up 31.4%, and 254,200 decaliters in glass bottles, up 33.8%. Beer output in kegs reached 22,600 decaliters, up 88.4%.

The two breweries delivered 1.290 million decaliters of beer to the retail network in January-February 2011, up 48.9% on the year.

Exports by Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies hiked 240% on the year in January-February 2011 to 45,000 decaliters, 44,100 decaliters by Heineken Breweries, up 4.9 times, and 900 decaliters by Rechitsapivo, down 4.7 times.
