OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. The magazine Forbes (No. 4, April 2011) has published an overview of the Russian banking market and a rating of the country’s 100 leading credit institutions. Forbes puts the Bank of Moscow in 4th place in the category of Russia’s most reliable banks.

The given rating has been drawn up every since 2006. The top 100 Russian banks are broken down into groups, depending on the rating levels awarded to them by the international rating agencies Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s. The banks are also assessed according to the size of their assets, capital, private deposits and loans extended to the population.

Within the scope of the overview, the magazine also ranks the biggest banks according to the retail products they offer, including credit cards and deposits. According to Forbes, for instance, the Bank of Moscow’s term deposit "Prestige Plus" is recognised as the best in its category (replenishable and accessible deposits) and the Bank of Moscow’s Visa Classic/MasterCard Standard credit cards were among the Top 5 best offers for rouble credit cards.
