OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. ALIDI, leading Russian provider of logistic and distribution services, took part in XIV Moscow International Logistic Forum. For the seventh time ALIDI was represented by Mikhail Miller, Sales Director of Logistic Services. He was the participant of the session “Logistic operators: practice and development tendencies” and made presentation “Experience and work features of regional logistic providers”.

His presentation was dedicated to important aspects of ALIDI activity such as work of Regional Distribution center, optimization of supply chain by cross-docking, development of complex logistic service.

“Presentation aroused great interest among participants, especially those who attend Forum regularly. Attention was mostly focused on the interesting history of ALIDI development. Being founded as a small regional distribution firm ALIDI has achieved impressive results and now works with the leading companies”, - says Mikhail Miller.

Forum is the traditional place for logistic experts meetings; in 2011 it gathered more than 500 participants from such companies as STS Logistics, SCM Engineering, Logistix, Ernst & Young and etc.

Representatives from logistic, consulting, IT companies analyzed perspectives of logistics in Russia. Cost optimization of supply chain wasamong the main problems of the logistic market; advanced technologies become an important competitive advantage of companies.

Mikhail Miller emphasizes that 3PL services acquire significant value while requirements to quality of logistic services increase.
