OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2011. In summer 2011, the second duty free retailer – Travel Retail Saint-Petersburg LLC, an associated enterprise of the German company Gebr.Heinemann registered in Saint-Petersburg – will start operating in Pulkovo airport.

A subtenancy contract with the new Duty Free operator was signed on March 9, 2011. Pursuant to the agreement concerning organization and operation of duty free shops, Gebr.Heinemann intends to open two new outlets in Pulkovo-2 terminal, while Pulkovo-1 will host one more shop of the German retailer.

Total shopping space of Gebr.Heinemann outlets will make up 500 sq.m. Passengers of Saint-Petersburg airport will be offered a wide range of goods including perfumes, cosmetics, liquors, cigarettes and tobacco, travel products, clothes and accessories, toys and souvenirs.

The major objective of attraction of a new foreign retailer is improvement in quality of duty free services provided to passengers of Pulkovo airport, product diversification, increase in income of the airport from duty free trade, says Non-Aviation Commerce Director of Northern Capital Gateway LLC Fedor Murygin.
