OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2011. The Moscow World Trade Center at 12, Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment was the venue of the ceremony of opening of the Club at Hotel Crowne Plaza.

The ceremony was attended by Sergei Katyrin, RF CCI, Kirk Kinsell, president of InterContinental Hotels Group for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Vladimir Strashko, RF CCI vice-president, chairman of the Board of “World Trade Center” (WTC), Valery Serov, general director, “WTC”, Elena Belashova, director Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC, and Sergei Shpilko, chairman of Moscow’s Tourism Committee.

The project has been fulfilled and the hotel is beginning to operate, RF CCI president Sergey Katyrin said in his brief presentation, congratulating the visitors on the opening of the club premises. This is a big event for the WTC, for Moscow and in a certain sense for the whole country. Russian and foreign businessmen now have one more venue for getting and working together, establishing ties, relying on the vast arsenal of the WTC, whose RF CCI is a share-holder. The builders and the entire staff of the Center, as well as their foreign partners have put heart into implementing it, and the result is excellent, Sergei Katyrin noted.

The speakers at the opening ceremony included Kirk Kinsell president of InterContinental Hotels Group for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Sergei Shpilko, chairman of Moscow’s Tourism Committee, and others.

Any construction project is sooner or later completed, said Valery Serov, general director of “WTC”. The result of intensive work of many staff members for a number of years is impressive. For the first time in Russia we are commissioning not just a storey or a number of luxury class suites, but an entire construction complex. The Club at the WTC Crowne Plaza Hotel has 149 luxury suites with a panoramic view of the Moskva, the Club lounge and fitness centre, restaurants and bars with contemporary Russian and European cuisine.

On the whole, with the commission of the Club facility, the WTC hotel complex now has 1,777 suites.
