“We agreed to gather in Europe with our European colleagues and discuss the situation in nuclear industry at an early date”, — Shmatko said.

According to him, the Russian Federation representatives, in particular, are planning to meet with EU Commissioner of Energy.

After the accident at Fukushima-1, Rosatom and Rostekhnadzor began to check safety systems at Russian power plants. Besides, Moscow has confirmed the safety guarantees of Belene NPP, which is to be built in Bulgaria with the Russian Federation participation.
