Kabyldin, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”, had a meeting with labor collectives of the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil” and JSC “Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant”, to summarize the 2010 results of “KazMunayGas” Group of Companies and discuss implementation issues of the President’s Message to the people of Kazakhstan “Let’s make the Future Together!”.

Delivering the report on the major results, K. Kabyldin, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”, noticed that in 2010 the “KazMunayGas” Group of companies exceeded the production schedule.

In particular, JSC “KazTransOil” (NC KMG’s subsidiary) increased oil transportation volume through its own pipeline system by 3% – 52 mln 505 thous tons. This indicator has been increased by 1 mln 621 thous tons, compared with the same period in 2009. The oil turnover in its turn amounted to 34 bln. 223 mln tons km during 12 months of 2010 – increase by 710 tons km, or 2%.

Among other things there has been a considerable growth of transportation and turnover volumes along the pipelines belonging to the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil” – 25 mln. 767 tons of oil were transferred along them in 2010, which exceeds the 2009 index by 3 mln. 492 thous tons, or 16%. The turnover of oil along the pipeline of the Eastern Branch of KTO made 13 bln. 614 mln tons km – 1 bln. 854 mln. tons km increase, or 16%.

Currently the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil” affiliates 6 Oil Pipelines Agencies in five regions of Kazakhstan. Last year on the base of Zhezkazgan Oil –Pipeline Agency of the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil” a critical facility – a Kumkol IPS was put into operation. This initial pump station is part of the major project of the company and the country as a whole on the construction of the Kazakhstan-China export oil pipeline. The station has been put into service for oil intake from the western oil fields of Kazakhstan through the new Kenkiyak-Kumkol oil pipeline, as well as from Kumkol region for its further transportation through the Kumkol-Karakoin, Pavlodar-Shymkent, Atasu-Alashankou oil pipelines in the direction of PRC and the Shymkent Refinery.

According to Zhenisbek Lukpanov, Manager of the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil”, all the employees of the enterprise, more than 2.5 thous. of experienced and high-skilled workers, are provided with comfortable working conditions and wide social package, covering not only the employees but their families as well. Owing to the care and stable salary the employee turnover in the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil” remains low in recent years.

In the course of the meeting it was noted that 13.7 mln tons of crude oil were processed at the three refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2010, which exceeded the target index by 509 thous tons or 3.86%. Whereupon 4.8 mln. tons have been processed at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, which is 16.4% above the level of 2009.

According to the Resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Approval of the Comprehensive Development Plan of the Refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2009-2015” and “On Approval of the Program for the development of the oil and gas sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2010-2014”, JSC NC “KazMunayGas” is implementing a project for upgrading and reconstruction of the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant.

The Project’s purpose is to restore the nameplate capacity of the plant up to 7.5 mln. t per year, increase oil refining depth up to 90%, improve the quality of oil products to the Euro-4, 5 standards, and reduce the polluting emissions into the atmosphere.

Shukhrat Danbay, Director General of “Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant” LLP, pointed out in his speech that having joined the Group of Companies of “KazMunayGas” in 2009 the plant managed to achieve success not only in the production and economical development but also in implementation of its social policy.

Thus, in the current year 616 mln tenges are planned for financing of the social programs at the Petrochemical Plant, which is 11% above the level of 2010. Financing of social programs in 2011 increased by 36 times if compared to 2009.

Since 2011 the social package has been significantly expanded for the employees of the enterprise. It includes social benefits for health improvement of the employees and their children, supplements to temporary disability benefits, one-time retirement payments given the length of service and other social benefits.

The Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant takes an active part in the regional programs of sport development, being the primary sponsor of “Ertik-Pavlodar” hockey team and women’s basketball team “Irtysh-PNKhZ”. The Box Federation of Pavlodar region is strongly supported by the enterprise.

In the current year the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant is planning to start the construction of a 130-apartments house in Pavlodar city for the workers of the enterprise, totaling to 1.8 bln. tenges. The construction deadline is in 2012.

Within the framework of this meeting the representatives of the labor collective of the Eastern Branch of JSC “KazTransOil” and JSC “Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant” have unanimously supported new social initiatives of the Head of the State aimed at strengthening of the welfare of the people.
