OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2011. Three new cement production lines with the capacity of 1.8 million tonnes a year each should be commissioned in Belarus in due course. Belarus’ Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich set the task at a session dedicated to the development of Belarus’ cement industry, which took place at Belarusian Cement Plant.

In his words, the new lines at Krichevtsementoshifer and Belarusian Cement Plant should be operating in late 2011 and the same facility at Karsnoselskstroymaterialy – in 2012. “These terms have been set by the President. And we should do everything possible to provide Belarus’ construction industry with the materials it needs,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

The Prime Minister lamented that the construction of new facilities goes rather slowly. Only 25% of the work has been completed. The situation at Belarusian Cement Plant is a bit better as some 34% have been completed. It means that a lot of work is to be done. “But I see no reasons for panic, the Belarusian builders can construct and put the lines on stream in due course,” Myasnikovich said.

The Prime Minister has asked to involve all building crews in the construction of the new production lines. Mikhail Myasnikovich also ordered to promptly settle the problems with blueprints of facilities, which lie within scope of Chinese partners’ responsibility. “We need to streamline the cooperation with Chinese suppliers of equipment and get them involved in the construction of the new lines,” he said.
