OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2011. The Government of Ukraine approved the Concept of state policy in the field of space activities for the period by 2032 year.

The order number 238 the Government adopted March 30, 2011.

The implementation of the Concept will be held in 4 phases: first phase - the 2011-2017 years, the second - 2018-2022 years, the third - 2023-2027 years and the fourth stage - the 2028-2032 years.

The purpose of the Concept is to increase the efficiency of space capabilities to address actual problems of socio-economic, environmental, cultural, informational, educational, scientific, and social development, national security and geopolitical security interests of our country.

The implementation will come to life for the state budget, investments and other sources. The estimated budget of the measures for its implementation is 38.5 billion UAH.

The implementation of the Concept will ensure the development of space technologies. In particular, the implementation of the document will allow systematically receive data from the national space system for Earth observation and geophysical monitoring “Sich”, establish and put into operate a national digital satellite system using spacecraft of communications and broadcasting “Lybid”, create a system of coordinates-temporal and navigational support of Ukraine and integrated multifunction system monitoring and analysis of outer space.

In the direction improving rocket and space engineering and technology concept is supposed to create: space launch system with booster "Cyclone-4” and booster with environmentally friendly fuel "Mayak", a universal space platform for scientific space exploration of the Moon; universal space tug "Krechet", aerospace complexes "Air Launch", devices for sensing of the Earth.

In addition, there will be improvement of the structure of space industry, ensuring the implementation of effective personnel policies, commercialization of space activities and international cooperation in space activities.

Implementation of the Concept will contribute to deepening international cooperation in space activities.
