OREANDA-NEWS. April 5, 2011. State Level Bankers' Committee, Madhya Pradesh held its 142nd meeting at the Zonal Office of Central Bank of India, Bhopal. The meeting was jointly chaired by (third from left) Shri S. Sridhar, Chairman & Managing Director, Central Bank of India and (second from left) Shri Avani Vaish, IAS, Chief Secretary to Govt. of M.P., Shri R. Parasuram, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Madhya Pradesh also attended the meeting. Shri B. Mondal, General Manager, Central Bank of India and Convenor, State Level Bankers' Committee, Madhya Pradesh, conducted the meeting and welcomed the dignitaries and other participants. The meeting reviewed the performance of banks during the quarter ended December, 2010,

Addressing the gathering, Shri Avani Vaish, Chief Secretary to Govt. of M.P., mentioned that the most important agenda is Financial Inclusion and it was gladdening to see that banks are approaching the subject with all its seriousness. He added that there exists a cordial and conducive atmosphere between the Banks and the State Government in the State and both can work together for the common cause of reaching out to the poorest of the poor. Senior Officials from the State Government, Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, Other Commercial Banks and Financial Institutions were present in the Meeting.
