OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2011. Toyota Tsusho Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Toyota Tsusho”; Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Junzo Shimizu) has integrated the management (corporate merger) of Toyotsu Logistics Service Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “Toyotsu Logistics Service”; Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Nobuhiro Watanabe), which plays a central role in the domestic logistics of the Toyota Tsusho Group, with Hot-Line International Transport Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “Hot-Line”; Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka; President: Naoki Ishii), which provides intermodal international transport, with the purpose of offering one-stop logistical services that are consistent both within and outside Japan .

The company surviving this management merger will be Toyotsu Logistics Service (new capital: JPY350 million), with Nobuhiro Watanabe continuing in the positions of Representative Director and President of the company.

Furthermore, due to this management merger, Hot-Line International Transport (H.K.) Ltd., an overseas consolidated subsidiary of Hot-Line, becomes a consolidated subsidiary of Toyotsu Logistics Service.

Toyotsu Logistics Service’s strengths include the 3PL business* primarily dealing with domestic automotive parts, as well as logistical processing and warehouse businesses, whereas the strengths of Hot-Line include the non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) business (freight transport business) that primarily handles overseas textile distributions.

These strengths of the companies, along with their management resources, have been integrated to launch the newly formed Toyotsu Logistics Service with the intention of providing logistical services with a consistent level of quality both within and outside Japan.

Furthermore, Hot-Line will continue operating as a business unit of “Hot-Line International Transport Division” within the merged company.

* 3PL business: Third Party Logistics business, which is an all-inclusive and comprehensive outsourcing business providing logistical functions and operations.
