OREANDA-NEWS. April 7, 2011. CROC is the only company in Russia to be awarded 'IBM Platinum Business Partner in 2010' in recognition of the largest business volume and expertise in IBM solutions.

“Active and effective cooperation with IBM has enabled CROC to implement over 1,000 projects based on the IBM platform during the last five years – a fact that is highlighted by our IBM Platinum Award in Russia and the IBM Beacon Award in EMEA,” remarked Boris Bobrovnikov, Director General, CROC. “We are proud that we were the first company in Russia to implement a number of IBM technologies and products. Some of the projects we were involved in were extremely innovative and unique and helped make our customers stronger while also allowing us to improve our professional skills. Today, technology and ideas are business growth catalysts and we are ready to continue sharing our experience with anyone looking to improve their business.”

In 2010, CROC became Russia’s first authorized IBM XIV Storage Systems Solution Centre. In addition, CROC was awarded IBM Dynamic Infrastructure Specialty and can therefore use unique IBM practices in its infrastructure projects.

In 2010, CROC was the first company in Russia to install new generation IBM Power7 servers in TRUST National Bank and IBM Storwize storage systems in a major industrial enterprise. In addition, CROC implemented the latest IBM System z10 mainframe in Bauman Moscow State Technical University – the first such project in a Russian university. Furthermore, CROC developed the world’s largest integration bus for a state-influenced Russian bank, and also deployed 6,000 IBM SurePOS-300 point-of-sale terminals in order to upgrade checkouts in a retail chain. "We awarded CROC with our highest Platinum Business Partner status not just in recognition of outstanding business results but also due to our shared objective of creating innovative business environments. According to IBM’s latest international research, 39 percent of executives agree that technology affects their business more than any other external factor. Together with CROC, we are ready to continue to help our clients use technology in order to improve business performance," said Kirill Korniliev, Country General Manager, IBM Russia and CIS.
