OREANDA-NEWS. April 08, 2011. The reconstruction of Ukrainian airports in preparation for Euro 2012 will be completed on time. This the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov said during a press conference on preparation for Euro 2012.

"A year ago we took the relay race from the previous government to prepare for the championship - said Borys Kolesnikov. - In many key facilities, particularly in the Lviv airport, we saw only guard on construction sites. Thus, under such critical circumstances the Government could quickly correct the situation and now the reconstruction of airports is continuing on schedule.

The reconstruction works are actively continuing in the terminal "D" of the International airport “Boryspil”. According to Vice Prime Minister, the terminal will be commissioned in late 2011.

The construction works at the Lviv International Airport will be completed no later than 15 December 2011. "The construction of the airport is almost complete. Now the contractor begins performance finishing works", - Borys Kolesnikov said.

Also in Ukraine, despite of certain problems by alluvium soil and land sales, the construction of the runway in Lviv. "Lviv International Airport will have a strip that will accept all aircraft, existing today, and built in the next 20 years" - he said.

As for the airport in Kharkov here the new runway is building for the state funds Borys Kolesnikov noted. Kharkiv will have strip length of 2.5 km, which is fully consistent to passenger traffic and class those ships that will take the airport "- Boris Kolesnikov said.

An international airport "Donetsk", according to Borys Kolesnikov, by July 1 will receive a new runway length of 4 thousand meters that can accept any aircraft.
