OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2011. According to the National Statistics Office, particularly, Moldovan exports grew 56.3% - to USD 295.7 million, import increased by 42.4% - to USD 641.7 million.

Moldovan supplies to the CIS states in the first two months of this year increased by 41.8% - to USD 99.2 million, to the EU states – by 54.1% - to USD 153.5 million. The share of the CIS states in the total Moldovan exports in January-February this year reduced from 37% to 33.6% in comparison with the same period last year, the share of EU states – increased from 52.7% to 51.9%.

Imports to Moldova from the CIS in January-February 2011 totaled USD 255.3 million, up 38.9% against the same period last year, imports from the EU increased by 45.7% - to USD 246.6 million. The share of CIS states in the total Moldovan imports reduced from 40.8% to 39.8%, that of the EU states – increased from 37.5% to 38.4%. The deficit of the balance of trade of Moldova with the EU states in January-February this year increased by 33.8% - to USD 93.1 million, with CIS countries – increased by 37.1% - to USD 156.1 million.
