OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2011. Corporate Governance Rating Service of Standard & Poor's held at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange a round-table conference named "Corporate Governance as Factor for Successful Capital Raising and People's IPO. Practical Observations in Kazakhstan and other BRIC countries", reported the press-centre of KASE.

A key report was presented by A. Rakitin, Deputy Director of Standard & Poor's Corporate Governance Rating Service.

Chiefs of major companies and banks, regulators and professional stock market participants, as well as other representatives of investment community were invited to take part in the event.

At the round table conference issues related to analysis and evaluation of corporate governance with regard to Kazakhstan's market were discussed, in particular those regarding upcoming "people's" IPOs:

- GAMMA corporate governance ratings: most recent events, updates, changes;

- actual comments, current projects and results of recent research by Standard & Poor's concerning corporate governance;

- practical observations and particulars of corporate governance in Kazakhstan and other BRIC countries.
