Sergey Beshev, President and CEO, commented:

"We are very satisfied with our operating performance in the first quarter of 2011 when we successfully delivered on our promise of network expansion and demonstrated good top-line results. During the quarter our net operating revenue increased by 10.5% as compared to the same period of 2010. After recovering in 2010 about half of 2009 losses in same-store sales we still have substantial room for rebound to pre-crisis levels. We continue to see positive revenue trends in our key markets in Russia and this year our restaurants also started to demonstrate very good sales dynamics in CIS and European countries.

This year we continue to run a very strict site selection process and target only high quality locations. In the first quarter of 2011 on gross basis we opened 16 new restaurants, including 6 corporate and 10 franchise outlets. In January this year we made several pre-planned closures, which resulted in 12 net openings over the quarter. In March, we opened two franchise outlets in Azerbaijan and widened our geographical coverage to 42 cities in 10 countries. Currently, we have a full pipeline of corporate and franchise openings for this year at advanced stages of development.

Going forward we continue our focus on enforcing marketing activities to give even better experience to our guests. Our ambitious programs of IL Patio revitalization and Planet Sushi restyling would allow us to further ensure our leading competitive position as Number #1 casual-dining operator in Russia and CIS."
