OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2011. Ukrainian delegation signed with the Export-Import Bank of China a credit agreement worth USD 2 billion to build infrastructure in Kyiv region.

"An agreement signed in Beijing between the Export-Import Bank of China and the Ukrainian side will allow starting in May the practical phase of building high-speed railway line between Kyiv and the international airport "Borispol". Also for the construction of infrastructure facilities of Kyiv region an agreement worth USD2 billion has been signed. These facilities will be created in preparation for construction of a large ring road around Kyiv, and therefore, the signing of the agreement means that the construction of this long awaited facility will soon begin” – said Vladyslav Kaskiv the Head of the State Agency for investments and management of national projects during his visit to China.

"I think it necessary to note that the signing of this agreement is a landmark event, because it opens the door to Ukraine to finance other national projects it comes in the memorandum, so the total amount of Chinese investments - USD 10 billion. These funds do not require government guarantees", - said Kaskiv.

Overall, during state visit to China were signed 5 important documents that will ensure receipt of debt financing and investment from China.

As previously reported, within the framework of National Project April 5th state enterprise "Management with construction and management of the national project" Air Express and other infrastructure objects of the Kiev region" was registered.
