OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2011. The Bank of Moscow has announced that the Web-banking remote service system is now available at all the regions of the Bank’s presence. The updated Web-banking system has replaced the previously used Internet-banking system.

The updated Web-banking system is different in that it has a more user-friendly interface, an expanded functionality and a higher level of protection of the data transmitted via electronic channels.

Within the last 6 months of the Web-banking project implementation the number of system users both in Moscow and in the regions, has doubled the number of the Internet-banking users who have been connected to the system over the last 4 years. The number of the Web-banking users grows 10 times faster than that of the Internet-banking users.

"We have offered the Web-banking system to all our clients both in Moscow and in the regions", comments Oksana Smirnova-Krell, Vice President of the Bank of Moscow. "Judging by the dynamics of connections, the Web-banking system is really in demand among our clients with the number of connection inevitably growing in the regions of the Bank’s presence. Today we can surely note that the remote banking system has stopped being a capital city privilege and has resolutely moved in the regions".

The key innovations of the system are:
•  quick connection to the system during one visit to the Bank;
•  opportunity to make various (including budgetary) payments and transfers;
•  opportunity to work out a payment schedule;
•  opportunity to create and use transaction patterns;
•  enhanced system security:
•  use of daily transaction limits;
•  one-time sms codes to confirm a transaction;
•  possibility to confirm major transactions by digital signature (using a USB token);
•  client can use personal security settings.
