OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) and the Government of Moscow signed an Agreement on cooperation towards executing measures for implementing the Programme for Development of Competition in the Russian Federation and competition policy of the City of Moscow. The document was signed by the Head of FAS Russia Igor Artemyev and the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Agreement provides for exchanging information, creating joint working and (or) expert groups for drafting proposals on improvement of the law of the Russian Federation and other normative legal acts according to the parties areas of activity, organising advisory meetings and consultations.

On the part of FAS Russia the work will be coordinated by the Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, and on the part of the Moscow Government – the Moscow City Department for Competition Policy.

The Action Plan 2011include joint efforts towards:

- drafting proposals for improving the law on state procurement;

- drafting proposals for optimizing the functions of executive bodies of the city of Moscow that supervise construction;

- drafting the measures to reform the market of ceremonial services;

- drafting proposals for development competition on the market of through passenger transportation by motor transport and taxi transportation in Moscow, etc.
