OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2011. The subsidiary of Ingosstrakh OJSIC in Yekaterinburg became a general partner of the anniversary year of Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, which celebrates 75 years from the day of its foundation in April 2011. Being a general partner, Ingosstrakh OJSIC provided insurance protection for the important project “Masterpieces of historical portraits. Heroes of their times” – noble portraits of XIX century from the collections of the State Historical Museum (Moscow).

For the first time in Yekaterinburg, the project will offer a unique collection of noblemen’s portraits of XIX century from the collection of the famous Moscow museum. Societarian portraits were created by the best artists of those times, such as V. L. Borovikovsky, J. Dow, K. E. Makovsky, V. A. Tropinin, O. A. Kiprensky, S. K. Zaryanko, V. A. Seriov. The emperors’ portraits, copied many times and widely known, were especially valuable for the contemporaries.

Thirty-one portraits were insured on the conditions “Against all risks”. Insurance coverage includes damage, full destruction and loss of a part or all the cultural values that happened for any reason. The insurance coverage is valid for the period of paintings transportation from Moscow to Yekaterinburg and back, and also for the period of exposition during three months in exhibition halls of Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts.
