OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2011. The "Money" magazine (The PH “Kommersant”) published the ninth ranking of the Russian IT companies, based on the results achieved by the companies in 2010, reported the press-centre of MERLION.

The MERLION company was the top ranked in two categories: ”The companies of the Russian IT market” and “Distribution and retail trade”. Thus, the ninth consecutive year MERLION has confirmed its status as the largest IT Company in Russia regarding the scope and efficiency of the business.

In the Table “High-tech equipment production” the third ranked was the iRU company (the rating is carried out by NCA Group), rising one line higher compared with the previous year – it’s the project of the MERLION company, production of personal computers and servers.

"A year ago, the research company IDC predicted that the recovery of the Russian IT market to the pre-crisis level (that was the level achieved in 2008) will happen by 2013. Now the company has corrected its estimation in the following way: it will happen faster, by 2012, and the market volume will be approximately USD 25 billion. The fact that IT companies have experienced a catastrophe and now are actively recovering their positions can be proved by our rating "- indicated by the authors of the article.

The companies in the ranking are ranged by the non-dimension index, which characterizes the scale of their business. It is determined by 90% as per the revenue that the companies received in 2010. But not limited to this. Contribution to the index is also made as per the overall company's staff, the client diversification of the business (the value that corresponds to the number of clients per one creative specialist) and as per the availability of a branch network.
