OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2011. Russia’s PM Vladimir Putin has invited Sweden to cooperate in GLONASS navigation project during a meeting with his Swedish counterpart Fredrik Reinfeldt in Stockholm.

Sweden has already started to use GLONASS positioning technology.

Putin  noted that  Russia has 23 satellites in orbit now and plans to expand them to 29-30 as GPS has.

The leaders also  touched upon other spheres of cooperation during the talks.
